What is an IBAN and where can I find it?

IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number and is a unique number attached to each of your wallet.

You can find your IBAN in the Funding options here.

What is a SEPA payment?

A SEPA payment is a Euro payment made between members of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). SEPA aims to make cross-border EUR transfers within this area equivalent to a domestic transfer within your own country.

The recipient of a EUR transfer should receive the money within 1–2 working days.

What is a SWIFT Payment?

SWIFT payment, also called international wire, is a type of international transfer sent via the SWIFT international payment network. The SWIFT international payment network is one of the largest financial messaging systems in the world.

SWIFT payments usually take 2–5 working days to reach their destination, however it is possible that they can take longer due to time differences between the sending and receiving country, or multiple intermediary banks involved with delivering the funds.

What is Faster Payments?

Faster Payments is the UK’s payment service for immediate payments, and this is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A Faster Payments can take up to 2 hours to reach the recipient account, but usually, it is faster. The limit for individual payments using the Faster payment service is £250,000.

Can I make cross currency payments?

You’ll be able soon to make cross currencies payments.

Can I cancel a transfer I have already instructed?

Please contact our customer support team at help@quidglobal.com between 8.30 am- 4.30 pm (NZST) Monday to Friday, excluding NZ Public Holidays.

Why is my transfer still pending?

Incoming and outgoing payments might take longer than usual for various reason such as:

  • the payment was made just before or during the weekend and Public Holidays
  • delays due by the beneficiary recipient bank

  • you have not provided us with the supporting document that we have requested.

What happens if my international payment is delayed or doesn’t arrive?

If your payee confirms that the payment you sent has not arrived within the timeframes set out in the payment confirmation, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

We will try to help out by establishing what has happened to the funds. It may be that the payment is rejected or returned for reasons outside of our control. If that’s the case, you may receive less money back into your account than you originally paid, because of the fluctuating exchange rates.

If you are experiencing issues with an inbound payment, please be aware that we do not accept payments from a small number of countries. A list can be found here.

Will I receive a receipt for my international payment?

We do not provide MT103 confirmations in the web app. If you need this for a payment made via SWIFT, please contact customer service.

Why is my FX conversion is still pending?

If your FX conversion is still pending it means that the settlement is not completed yet. Please don’t worry as it will settled automatically.

Can I cancel an FX conversion if it is not settled yet?

No, when an FX conversion is instructed it is not possible to be undone.

Is there a limit on the maximum conversions allowed?

The maximum is set to £500K per transaction but this may vary

When will the converted currency funds be available?

If the conversion is instructed before the cut off time the funds are available in real time. If it is done after the cut off, the funds will be available at different times, that depends on the currency pair.

What are the costs of doing an FX conversion?

Please refer to our Global Wallet terms and conditions

Can I convert funds from one currency to another?

Yes, this is possible in your Global Wallet. You need to have open a wallet in each currency you need and then have your wallets ready based on the currency you are converting to. For example, if you have a GBP and EUR account, you can convert currencies between these accounts. When you convert funds, it’s in real-time, so you will get a competitive rate.
